VIVIX Shaklee Supplement For Diabetes

My mom has diabetes about 2 years ago. At that point of time, her glucose level was around 11. She has to take medication twice a day, morning and night. She’s supposed to control her diet but she never do so. And I can’t keep an eye on her as we are not staying together. Last July, I brought her to do a blood test. The result shows her glucose level = 17.1 and cholesterol = 6.5. She also has high blood pressure. Once you have diabetic, your cholesterol and blood pressure will increase as well. My mom biggest problem is she can’t control her diet. She some more ate 2 durians even she knew that her glucose level is 17.1 .

Recently, I read a book written by Dr. Joseph Maroon, “The Longevity Factor – How Resveratrol and Red Wine activate Genes for a Longer and Healthier Life”. In this book, neuroscientist and surgeon Dr. Joseph Maroon, M.D., offers the definitive look at recent scientific breakthroughs identifying a group of natural substances — including the much-publicized molecule resveratrol — that can actually activate a specific set of genes in humans that promote a longer, healthier life. On page 85 to 92, Dr. Maroon explain how resveratrol can prevents diabetic complications.

So why I need vivix shaklee supplement for diabetes ? It is because of resveratrol.

So, what is resveratrol supplement for diabetes ?

Resveratrol, a subgroup of polyphenols, is a natural compound found in the skin of the grapes that used to produce red wine. It activates the sirtuin gene that is important in suppressing DNA instability and allowing for repair of damaged DNA. One of the known causes of aging is the decreased ability for older cells to perfectly replicate DNA in every new cell. The build up of “DNA debris” in cells is connected to aging and the death of individual cells. Resveratrol increases the rate of deacetylation which controls whether a gene is turned on or off. By controlling the rate of deacetylation and activating the sirtuin gene, resveratrol is demonstrated to have longevity effects.

How resveratrol helps diabetes patient?

Resveratrol supplement for diabetes has been reported to improve the body’s sensitivity to insulin and that’s an important leap towards to stopping the infection completely, simply because it reduces the volume of insulin thats generally necessary to maintain a usual volume of blood sugar.

Resveratrol also stimulates an enzyme called Sirt1. The Sirt1 enzyme’s “job” is always to control the insulin sensitivity of the body and insulin secretion. When its activated it will help to fight diabetes completely naturally. The activation of those Sirt1 gene, widely called an “anti-aging” gene increases the quantity of mitochondria inside bodies cells, improving their operation and boosting the bodies metabolism.

Sirt1 also raises insulin sensitivity which helps out the body to take in and implement glucose from the blood. In this manner, resveratrol is considered to relieve the symptoms of diabetes so it helps to fight the illness. Resveratrol can certainly help control the oncoming of diabetes and help to keep diabetes that was already occurred in line. Mainly it improves the people body’s sensitivity to insulin and activates an extremely powerful enzyme.

After I read this book, I believe that resveratrol can helps diabetes patient. Unfortunately, a lot of people don’t know or ever heard of resveratrol.

What is the best resveratrol supplement in the market?

Dr. Maroon wrote a comment on Vivix on page 193. You may read his comments in Vivix brochure in English (Vivix brochure in Chinese). After I read the brochure and made searches on the net on this Vivix, I bought it for my mom. She starts taking Vivix on 27 Jul 2010. After one month her glucose level went down from 17.1 to 13.8 without controlling her diet.

She has to do another blood test in October as advised by doctor. Hopefully her glucose level can go down below 8 by then. Thanks god…at last, I found something that can help her. Before that, I’m so worried that she may get kidney failure, blind, etc…

How many mg of resveratrol in a tab/cap?

Seem way expensive.
Anyway it’s something new in antioxidant world and it doesn’t work for everyone.

Vivix comes in a liquid form. One bottle = 150ml. Recommended 1 teaspoon (5ml = 5,048 ORAC) per day. Why only 1 teaspoon and not 2 or more? From research and the quotes of Dr. Ronald Prior, a key developer of the 2007 Department of Agriculture ORAC study and a noted researcher into the actions of antioxidants in our body, we can only utilise between 3,000 and 5,000 antioxidant ORAC units per day. Any amount more than that will be excreted by the kidneys. So there is no added benefit to take more than 5,000 ORAC per day.

Yes you may say it is expensive but you do get what you pay for. 1 teaspoon of Vivix = resveratrol found in 100 glasses of red wine. Vivix is not heat treated and not fermented as a wine product is. It is all natural with no artificial colors, flavors, sweeteners, or preservatives.

Dr. Richard Brouse of Sunnyside Clinic in Portland, Oregon says there are over 80,000 antioxidants in the plant kingdom. Vivix contains over 60,000. Third-party laboratory studies have proven Vivix to be more powerful, beneficial, higher in antioxidant ORAC and overall healthy and well-being than the popular “super-fruit” products like MonaVie, ZanGo, and Noni. Furthermore, these same studies revealed that this nutritional company may be lying about the quality/value of its product.

For example, MonaVie claims 1,000-1,250 ORAC but Brunswick Laboratories (16 Jul 2008) ORAC test value was 610 for MonaVie Active, that’s less then half of the value that the company claims. Nonetheless, even if MonaVie could substantiate its claims of 1,000-1,250 ORAC, Vivix claims 5,000 ORAC and laboratory test show 5,048 ORAC. That’s more then 5x the unsubstantiated MonaVie claims and more then 8x its laboratory findings.

Plus, out of 14 domains of cellular anti-aging properties and overall general health, MonaVie Active only held beneficial to 5 domains out of 14 and six domains of anti-aging were tested, MonaVie Active only had an effect in one of the six anti-aging domains. On the other hand, Vivix proved to be beneficial on 12 domains of the 14 tested and had an effect on all six domains of anti-aging. How reasonable would it be to purchase a less effective product? How rational is it to place faith in a company that has lied?

Why I believe in Vivix?

Because
~ I believe what Dr Joseph Maroon said about resveratrol in his book “The Longevity Factor – How Resveratrol and Red Wine Activate Genes for a Longer and Healthier Life”.
~ I believe what Dr Bruce Miller said about Shaklee in his book “Shaklee Discover the Difference”. You need to read this book to be better informed about your choice of food supplements. Many people are consuming food supplements assuming they are disintegrating, being absorbed and doing the job they supposed to do. Your supplements may not be doing any of these things.

Dr Miller’s conclusions on page 30, “I trust that by now that you have come to the same conclusions I reached when searching for the best nutritional products company on the market. Shaklee is indisputably the most outstanding company in the nutrition field in America today.

Their research and consistent publication are unparalleled in the industry. I feel confident in recommending Shaklee to my patients and friends without any reservations, and I hope from reading this book you feel the same way.” Vivix is good for supplement for diabetes.
